Job Summary:

HHP, Inc is hiring a full time qualified skilled individual to deliver forest products to our customers & mill. This CDL A position includes hauling sawdust, wood chips, lumber and pallets and potentially logs. Using various trailers including open tops, step decks, flat beds and live floor.
*Additional benefit if you are comfortable running log trucks in and out of wood landings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Valid CDL A License
  • Backing up to loading docks and truck dumpers
  • Basic Maintenance
  • Experience with Heavy Machinery ie: Loader
  • Safe driving record
  • Good work history
  • Ability to install, tighten, close & remove cargo securement devices in a safe manner and avoiding injury risks.
  • Must be able to bend at knees and waist, use tarp pole crank at shoulder level.
  • Throw Cargo Straps, Ropes, etc. up and over a load.
  • Sit in a driving position for extended periods of time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Mon-Thurs 6am-4pm and Friday 6am-3pm.
****Arrival to work prior to the 6am start is a MUST.
 
-Ability to work both independently & in a team
-Wide variety of types of physical labor
-Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
-Pride in maintaining a clean workspace; cleaning up work areas from debris and machinery
-Comply with all safety guidelines
-Building & manufacturing pallets
-May also have to assist machine operators and other parts of assembly.
-Be quick on your feet and have the endurance to load stock throughout each production run.
-Work involves developing & training necessary skills in manufacturing to build a high quality, finished product
-A “Can-Do” work ethic and good communication skills.
-Familiarity operating machinery in a production process, willing to train the right candidate.
-Possess mechanical aptitude
-Reliable transportation
-Manufacturing or equivalent (carpenter, mechanic, skilled trades) experience is preferred but not necessary.
-Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

HHP is looking for a 2nd Shift Lumber Stacker & General. Dependability is a must, we are looking for an individual to meet & exceed HHP’s company standards, and values. Someone who is interested in growing with the company, long term. Learning different areas of the mill to gain experience on machinery and mill process & production. Keeping a keen eye on quality control.

Stack Lumber following specific criteria:

Pile the boards with the following criteria: • Top, bottom and outside boards will be the longest • All edges will be free of knots, wane, writing and other defects • Bundle must be square • Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer • Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove • Make sure tags are on finished packs of lumber •  Strapping packs/bundles of lumber with a strapping device • Maintain good working relationships with all employees and management.

  • Pre-employment physical.
  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong work ethic and good communication skills.
  • Familiarity operating machinery in a production process.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Reliable Transportation is a must.
